Chile: Postdoctoral Position in Numerical Analysis at Universidad de Concepcion
The Research Group in Numerical Analysis of the Department of Mathematical Engineering of the University of Concepcion, Chile, is pleased to announce the availability of a postdoctoral position in NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF PARTIAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS, supported by the Centre for Mathematical Modelling (CMM) of the University of Chile. The position is for one year, starting January 2007.
Candidates should exhibit evidence of outstanding research potential and are required to have received a Ph.D. degree not before 2002. They are expected to dedicate fully to research in an active research-oriented environment. No teaching duties. Spanish language is not required. Monthly salary is about US$ 1.800 (as a reference, the rent for an appartment near the University is about US$ 400 per month). Flight expenses (roundtrip) will also be covered by CMM.
