Postgraduate Scholarship: Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC)
The BBSRC deals directly with universities and not candidates. It is the responsibility of the university to which studentships have been awarded to nominate applicants for the awards. Information about the current availability of awards and how to apply can be obtained by contacting the School of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine or by consulting the BBSRC website. Applicants are advised to express their interest in being considered for an award on their University of Edinburgh graduate application form.
Prospective students should usually have a first or upper second-class Honours degree. The BBSRC will also consider exceptional applicants with a second-class Honours degree who have progressed to obtain excellent grades in a Master's degree.
