Scholarship Description :
A small number of ANU PhD Stipend Scholarships funded by Research
Schools, by Centres or by Faculties may available through mid-year
entry.
It is normal for recipients to undertake study on a full-time basis.
However, in accordance with strict criteria, the scholarship may be
awarded for part-time study. International scholars must undertake
study on a full-time basis.
It is expected that the scholarship normally will be taken up by 31
August in the year for which it is awarded, although, subject to the
approval of the prospective supervisor, Head of Department and Dean/
Director, a later start date may be possible. The date by which a
scholarship must be taken up in a particular instance will be made
clear in the formal letter of offer for the scholarship.
Please note that despite application closing dates, some Research
Schools and Centres welcome applications at any time.

Scholarship Details
Stipend:
AU$19,231.00 (2006 rate) per annum tax free, in fortnightly payments
Other benefits:
Travel to Canberra from within Australia; reimbursement of some
removal expenses; thesis reimbursement allowance.
Maximum Duration:
Three years full-time, with a possible six month extension
Take Up By: 31 August 2006
