Two Post-Doc Positions available for 3 years at the Universities of
Heidelberg and Mannheim
1. Behavioral or experimental economics, Behavioral IO (Prof. Jörg
Oechssler)
2. Decision Theory (Prof. Jürgen Eichberger)
Both positions are funded by the German Science Foundation (DFG)
through
the Sonderforschungsbereich (SFB) 504, which is a joint research
project
of the Universities of Heidelberg and Mannheim. The position are
available as of Jan. 1, 2006. Shorter appointments than 3 years are
possible if desired. Salaries are according to the German pay scale BAT
IIa and range from about 35.000 to about 45.000 Euros depending on age
and the size of the family. Funds for travel, research support, and
experiments are available.
The postdoctoral fellows will have the opportunity to do independent
research in their respective fields but are expected to actively
interact with other researchers of the SFB 504. Successful candidates
should hold a PhD in economics or a related field. German language
skills are not a requirement. Fellows who plan to do a “Habilitation”
will have the opportunity to do so.
