PhD Studentships in Applied Mathematics - University of the West of England
Two studentships in Applied Mathematics are available for immediate
start.
The following projects are available:
*• Stability of Taylor-Couette flow of Helium II with imposed Axial
Flow
• Mathematical Modelling of Infectious Diseases
• Mathematical Modelling of Brood-Sorting in Ants
• A Man-Computer Approach to Graph-Theoretic Conjectures and Problems

bursary will be £12,300 per annum and is not subject to UK taxes. In
addition, tuition fees will be waived for the duration of the bursary
(3
years).
*Eligibility*
Applicants should hold a first or upper second class Honours degree or
a
Masters Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject. A recognised
English
language qualification (minimum IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 600) is required if
English
is not your first language.
*Closing Date for applications*
The closing date for applications in 15 December 2006. These bursaries
must
be taken up by *February 2007*.
