Macquarie University International Scholarship (MUIS)-Country Specific Scholarships: Thailand

The Macquarie University – OSHC Worldcare Scholarship for the Tsunami Volunteer Centre was created to give the opportunity to a Thai student to study at Macquarie University and then transfer the skills acquired back to Thailand.

The scholarship is available to one undergraduate student who can demonstrate that he/she was affected by the December 2004 tsunami in Thailand and that will contribute back to the Thai community.

Macquarie University and OSHC Worldcare offer this Joint Scholarship for a qualified Thai to study the Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography.

The National Centre for English Language Teaching and Research (NCELTR) covers a 25 week English Language program scholarship prior to the start of the degree. Macquarie University will pay for the tuition fee of the three year program and OSHC Worldcare will sponsor a stipend of AUD$15,000 for living expenses per year, plus the medical insurance costs during the full duration of the student's time in Australia.
