New Zealand: PhD Scholarship in Endophytic Fungus-Ryegrass Interaction at Massey University

A scholarship is available for a PhD project investigating signalling between endosymbiotic fungal endophytes and their ryegrass hosts, using molecular biology, cell biology and proteomics.


The scholarship includes a stipend of $22,000 per year (for three years) plus fees*.

Applications and requests for more information should be sent to Jan Schmid (j.schmid@massey.ac.nz, http://imbs.massey.ac.nz/Staff/schmid.html). The Deadline for applications is the 1st of November 2006. Applications should include a CV, academic records, and the contact details of two referees.

* Candidates are encouraged to also apply for a Massey Doctoral Scholarship (http://students.massey.ac.nz/postgraduate/scholarships.htm). Candidates who gain such a Massey Doctoral Scholarship would receive a top-up from project funds, increasing their stipend to $26,000 per year plus fees.
